The Finnish Parkinson Foundation´s Grants
The Finnish Parkinson Foundation accepts grant applications once a year. The closing date for submission of applications is 31 January, which is the date by which applications must arrive at the Foundation.
Grant types
The Finnish Parkinson Foundation provides financial support for scientific research into Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. The principle is that the research must be conducted in Finland.
Available grants
- research grants (we prefer research towards a doctoral thesis);
- travel grants for participation in a scientific congress (requirement a poster or an oral presentation);
- project grants for more long-term postgraduate studies at a foreign centre specialising in research into movement disorders;
- special grant for Senior Researchers in Movement Disorder Research (up to €50,000, to be allocated over a period of three years, with the final two years subject to continuation at the option of the granting body).
